On January 27, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. Moscow time (GMT+3) Fyodor Lukyanov, Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs magazine, Chairman of the Presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy and Research director of the Valdai Discussion Club, will take part in an American-Russian online conversation, titled “Can War In Ukraine Be Avoided?”. The webinar is organized by the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.
At a time of deep crisis between the United States, NATO, and Russia, it is vitally important to identify real American and Russian interests and goals.
To discuss and debate this crisis from Russian and American perspectives, the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft will host a conversation between Fyodor Lukyanov, chairman of the presidium of the Russian Council on Foreign and Defense Policy and Editor in Chief of Russia in Global Affairs, and Thomas Graham, former U.S. diplomat, distinguished fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and senior advisor of Kissinger Associates.
The conversation will be moderated by Anatol Lieven, senior research fellow at the Quincy Institute.
